I am looking into buying the HP TouchSmart tx2-1020us
its the newest tablet pc with multitouch like the iphone uses.

yeah sounds goood, but you might wanna upgrade the hdd as its only 320gb which is kinda small, but other than that looks awesome

dual core i dont think it means physically 2.2 x2, but im pretty sure its significantly faster.

The laptop is a very good laptop. its decent for what your planing on doing with it. And Having a Dual Core means Both cores are running at the factory stock timing of 2.20GHz so when your running your software and your CPU is Underload it will be running around 3.97GHz to its max of 4.40GHz.

looks nice, i want one of those now. multitouch is cool too. im not fans of 5400rpm hard drives, but it is a laptop using less power.

i had a tx2000 a few years back, and it was pretty cool (dumb screen though glossy screen in back and touch film over it made it hard to see), until 2 months later where vista updates kept putting it in a never endless update upon boot. and reinstalling it w/ sp1 gave me random bsod, playing avi, fliping screen around... anyway thats offtopic.

i love everything abt the laptop , but dual core is way old now !!! , the most basic laptops run on core 2 duo (intel) , and turion x2 is really crap ! no offense now days we run on i7 , which is literally another world of processing speed , but other than the processor , its got bad ass features ....i reckon u go for it !!

it will still be grainy, I have the tx2000 (earlier model) and it doesn't have a antiglare and it's STILL grainy.

2 cores doesnt meen x2 it only means Example two motors running at the same time instead of one or 2 core two cars same horse power pulling vs 1 core 1 car pulling
i7 is for desktops and core 2 quad isnt even on a laptop yet even if it is one on a tablet will probably cost 2k 320Gb is enough cause max is 500gb
