NO NO NO! There is nothing wrong with you, sure plenty of people could have saved him, but there is no use in dwelling on it.  Thinking about what you could have done is just going to make you feel worse.  He was the only one involved in making his decision and no one else. 

Please do not blame yourself, there is only one person to blame and he is gone now.  Dwelling on what could've gone differently will not help the healing process at all.  Hang in there man, these will be some difficult days to come.

man, don't worry yourself over it now. When a person is distressed or in shock/panic its really difficult to think straight. Sometimes you just forget the obvious.....

thanks guys... its just that i know 911 is there and forgetting it is like forgetting the grass is green...

Well whatever you do, hang in and don't blame yourself.

Everyone forgets everything. I do especially.

If there's anything you feel you should do, it's try to comfort your sister, and DON'T mention anything about being able to prevent something.

I had a friend commit suicide actually about a year ago this month....

She was driven to it by some [insert many long irritating colourful words] jerkwad of a guy over the internet.

Comfort your sister. You both need it.

And we're all here for ya.
