Ok question 1 yes it seems like a dumb question but I want the best viewing angle to get the most light from a jewel :D do I solder to the top or bottom of the 0603? also which side do I glue to the PSP UMD door? do I I glue it sideways? bottom on the door? top on the door?

Ok also I have 7 0603 LEDs and another with 7 0603 LEDs also both on separate circuits. So for the one with 7 LEDs from the 5v spot on the slim how many ohms do I need to resist if each LED is 1/8 watts each? I used this cac: http://www.the12volt.com/ohm/page2.asp and got 28.57143 ohms how many is that? do I round it off?

I plan to have 7 amber/yellow LEDs, 3 in UMD door 2 in triggers and 2 in bottom light like the "cleaned up my PSP" thread, then 7 green, 2 in bottom light 3 in UMD door and 2 in speaker holes. All these green/Yellow will be sound reactive and on separate circuits.

Then have 4 (another set) of yellow fader LEDs, 2 in bottom light and 2 in triggers.

total of 18 LEDs :D

So I need to know what size resistor to use for 7 0603 1.8 watts (each) LEDs coming from the 5v spot on the mobo.

Could I use 3 10-ohm resistors? or would I be making my LEDs dim?

No.

Just not sure cause I've never done green and yellow.

well then just try it if it works it works, if not, then hopefully everything still works right ...and you can take off all the wires

would a 47 OHM be ok for the green, and a 68 ohm for the yellow?

dude, you can use a 10ohm resistor for both circuits. i have one for my led fader which has six green leds and none on the transistor which also has six green leds. yellow leds do require less power so you could use a 30ohm resistor for that.

like i said, i have a 10ohm running the six green leds on the fader. it will be fine.

Well I'm not talking about the fader yet, that will be the last. I am doing the 2n2222 transistor sound reactive LEDs.

then no you don't need a resistor. i didn't use one and it works fine with green leds. if your going to use yellow leds then use a 10ohm resistor at least just too make sure. if it's too low powered then remove it.

ok, well theres nothing wrong with using a 50ohm. better of have too much resistance than too little. if you find the leds are too low powered then lower it till your happy with the level of light emitted :)

Well, 5v powering 3v leds wont be the best of ideas so yea resistance is needed...

7 LEDs, and it says 1/8 watts each and 191K on the bag.
