They have pissed me off for the last time... Im just gonna give my laptop to another family member since my HP laptop pissed me off so bad

Seriously... we have to make our own driver disks... Wow, what a

idea...

This is why im so pissed off, on the website, it very clearly states that the laptop accepts up to 4GB ram (2x 2GB), so I spend most of my money on 4GB of RAM, and out of everything... The laptop doesnt support it... :censored:ing liars.. Well now im out of cash and have nothing to do except give these away to my family aswell

But yeah, basically, the ram sticks work fine, i can use one on its own just fine, both of em, and i can put my old 1gb mix and match with it (So i can have 3gb), but whenever i have both the 2gb, all I get is either a black screen when I start, nothing comes up, or when I finally get into windows, the screen just makes weird colours and patterns

I HAVE TRIED EVERYTHING, updating bios, mem tests, driver updates, running 64bit (Quickly off a usb hdd), everything

So, if anybody working at Horse Penis here, go to the boss and kick him as hard to can in the balls

Im just gonna go buy a better quaility, better, everything, dell, apple, or asus, or something

I know some people are gonna be like, "Hey, phen shut up, horse penis rock", if they 'rock?', what is so good about them, their lightscribe sucks... I just use a marker instead, much easier, quicker, cheaper etc (Plus it doesnt rub off after a week), make your own disks (Self explanatory why that sucks), bad customer support (Wow im so lucky...), and HPs designer range... Oh comon, a little design and you double the price... Id rather buy a dell and give away the rest of the money to charity (Not mocking charity... My family gives an incredible amount to charity, its why were so poor)

I'm glad I ain't the only one who don't like them.

Crappy build quality, absurd customer support, and balls use of hardware.

TBH Acer has some lappy's that are a little more pricier, but a hell of a lot better.

Easily.

ey ey ey. i still have my sisters HP 8760C back from 1999. still wokrs upgraded RAM for 512 MB. works great. HAve the HP 533w i got for my 12 B-day. STILL WORKS. now have my HP a6120n, 6 GB of RAM. still works, no problem. what model lappy is it though? you might have gotten incompatible RAM. what site or store you get the RAM at as well?

EDIT: Oh and also my school uses HP computers exclusively. my Drafting computer is an HP xr4200, 3.6 GHz processor 2 GB of RAM. HP's arent crap. A Dell is a crappy invesment, pay top dollar for old tech doesnt settle with me.

Pssshh... HP's suck... I had my dell at my hunting cabin and my friend had his hp, and while his wouldn't boot because of the cold, mine worked perfectly all weekend...

sorry, but it's true. it was new, and it wouldn't turn on. It just wouldn't, all weekend. In the car on the way back it did?? coincidence? I think not. (btw, it was REALLY FREAKING COLD)

Its a 6720s

I bought the ram at ebuyer, and its kingston ram, with a life time garentee

and thing is, its the exact same specs as the old ram I had in there, same voltage, same speed, etc

Im thinking about getting a macbook, but thing is im saving up for an i7 based machine, plus nearly all my programs that I use only work in windows

hey phen... i'm done with divorcing HP , and am the most happiest .....a year back my dad got me a laptop ,Acer..i thought

here i go again !!

, but till now i havent faced a prob at all , (surprisingly) ye i did the ram updated from 1 to 2 , and its not even c2d , its dual core , but still a lot faster than my friends hp 6720 series ....so..i would recommend acer ,dell ...asus is more pricey but....APPLE still rules ..!!

it could be a defective SODIMM, but i doubt it.

on another note, yes, HP suck. big style.

HP budget price a laptop, then DO IT AGAIN, and don't care about the quality IMO

i am plannin on getting one of the touchsmart ones is this not a good idea? i really wanted the multi touch is why im getting it. ive had an old hp compaq presario along time ago and it was great.

HP servers are good machines, i worked with them on my work experience. i just think they let themselves down with their consumer machines.
