At my school there is a new laser engraver and cutter :O

The teachers said I can use it for outside projects anytime I want to

Jewels, here we come (Engrave design, then the laser cutter will cut it out for me :D)

OMFG..... that is something to get excited about! At least for manufacturing geeks like me.  I have been trying to get one of those at work for 2yrs...... :( no luck so far.

We needz details.... manufacturer, cost, software, laser details, ect.  That is so suweet, you must take as much advantage as you can.  My suggestion: become the expert so that people come to you for help with that thing, that way no one will give you crap for hoggin it :winker:

my school has both a laser and cnc cutter
but im not in a class that uses it... unfortinitaly

i know where u could prob get some laser diodes/a guy. he comes to this site.

I dont know much about it, all I know is that its computer controlled, its blue, and its freaking huge

Since there is loads of plexiglass at school, all different colours and thicknesses, I can even make cooloured jewels lol

ya my school is getting one of those too, once the tech block is finished being refubished. Hopefully I can get access to it for my own projects, the tech teachers all know me so... Custom Parts anyone?
