backlight connector broken

is there any for me to fix it

or do i have to buy a new motherboard?

You could try soldering the ribbon to those 4 pins.

U can try soldering the FFC cable to those small ass pins, but good luck.

actually theres 8 pins, 4 on top and 4 on bottom

im not sure where to sodler it tho

did you try using a little piece of paper on as a wedge to hold it in cause if its like the phats just the bottom pins have to keep connection

yes i used a wedge to make the backlight connector connect properly, i had to make the connector on the backlight to tilt up slightly . and thats how i broke the connector in the first place

would i have to solder them all or do i have to pick the appropriate 2 pins to solder to the connector?

If you get it in and can hold it there for a minute, use one of the black felt-looking tape pieces that hold the speaker wires to the mother board, to hold the ribbon cable in place.  They pretty sticky.  I use them for just about everything.

one time that happened to me and i just put some tap and something under the tap pressing the little pings and that should work find

i stuck blutack there to stabilize the connector in position and used folded paper to wedge it there. works!

I had the same Problem all i did was solderd to cables to outer pins and then solderd them to the conector tape to the backlight and it worked fine. :drunk:
