Faulty PSP Phat Keys
« on: April 02, 2009, 11:29:01 AM »
Alright, i recently bought a PSP Phat from a friend of mine for $60 USD. \
I found out that the directional keys as well as the "shape" keys  don't work well enough to make it usable for games.

What i was wanting to know was where could i get cheep parts to repair it.
I may only need to do a few mods the the keys themselves.
If anyone can make a recommendation, please tell me.

no problem but whatever you do don't buy the blue powerboards they suck most of them are missing the LEDS and sometimes the pins for the home bar don't work always look for the green powerboards if possible there the best for replacments usually the powerboard pads don't go bad its normally just the ribbons and that so i would try those first and if it still won't work try switching out the powerboard

Alright, well i can tell you its the pads as when i opened it up and turned it on and tried pressing the buttons, nothing worked. Generally that doesn't happen. Also when it is put together, i gotta mess with the buttons some to make it work, which sounds more like the pad then a power board connection problem to me.

But i got another problem, the analog stick doesn't work either. I need a link for a replacement for that as well. I would go searching but i need something that's quality and i figure you guys would know better then me.

Im hoping to be able to get this repaired for less then $15 max.

Thanks guys,
