PSP button relocation
« on: December 23, 2009, 09:45:05 PM »
Hey guys I have a question

Say I wanted to relocate the d-pad buttons and x,[],^,0 buttons. How would I go about doing so? I though either soldering wires to the pins on the zif connector to a tact switch or something or scratching the contact to expose the copper circuits on the films and solder to them.

same place but not a close as the are currently on a psp. See I want to make a DS looking PSP. For this I plan on using a PSP slim and to make space for the keyboard, I need to make the case bigger in height. By doing so this make the button contact too low for them to be registered when they are hit. So I need to find a way around this, and I though of relocating them.

Ah fair enough. Yeah, using tact switches would work

For the connections you'd wanna try and solder to the zif connector

Alright. Thanks for the help. Got another question. You think if I linked up say 3 or 4 slim batteries, I would make an extend life battery or would it not work that way?

As long as you wired them in parallel and kept the PCM boards with them, it should work.

Couldn't I just take the lithium part of the battery and wire them in parallel to one PCM board?
