That's not bad at all... 12X24 is plenty enough for most windows. And it's only 14 bucks. Here in Canada, for a sheet of normal acrylic of like 12X18 is like 20 bucks.

Either way, you're not gonna get plexi any cheaper. Deal with it.

I can get 12"x12" of plexi for $6 around here, and 12"x12" of acrylic for around $10-$15

Acrylic, IS plexi isn't it? I just thought the two types of plexi were acrylic and lexan, but they're both plexi... anyway 12X24 is double 12X12, so 6vs15 isn't bad at all. Because typically, the price doesn't multiply the same amount as the material you're getting. That applies to like everything. And, this is mirror acrylic so it might cost more.

Plexi, if being used as just a short form for "plexiglass", is the same as acrylic. Because acrylic, is a type of plexiglass. Acrylic, is really a brand name, along with perspex, lucite, etc. They're all a "polyacrylate" type of plexiglass. Lexan, on the other hand, is a "polycarbonate" type of plexiglass. I think the major difference is Lexan (polycarbonate) is stronger, but Acrylic (polyacrylate), is more scratch resistant.

So really, plexi is the same as acrylic, and plexi is the same as Lucite, but acrylic is not the same as lucite.

Get it? LOL

NO, they are different materials,
also, plexi melts REALLY easy, and scratches easily
acrylic is very durable(costs more $) BUT it gets cracks, doesnt melt as easily(notie I didnt say it DOESNT melt :D)
Also, acrylic comes in more colors...whereas plexiglass-clear lol

EDIT:
ok sorry for that super mega fail
they are the same in normal context BUT in this case they are different

... Where are you getting your info?

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Acrylic_glass

That states, that Acrylic, is the same as plexiglas (note, one S, because it's a brand), and many other brand names. The only other "plexiglass", is called "polycarbonate", which is what i stated. However, both are techincally plexiglass.
