LOL the chips that come from microchip direct, come from tiland. it is a us based site, but the orders go to tiland. you will see when you start tracking them.  that is by far the best plase. but yea, the shipping cost more than the chips. its just one of those things.

if you get 2 you may as well get 20. with the shipping you wont notice much diffeerence.

microchip .com adds $5.00 processing to orders under $20.00, ontop of the shipping, and the more you buy the shipping actually gets less.

LOL I was waiting for that. the 16f84a is for the spitfire mod.

the other one is a top secret team project, has to do with IR motion sensors. I wil let out more if it works. ask magic monkey LOL

I need to get picaxe and darlington arrays from another site. what a pain. I still havent found a site I trust enough to order them from. my web filters dont like the main picaxe page. and tell me they are unsafe to shop at. I use norton360 and it dont really like anything. LOL

I have alot of things planed for the next few weeks I hope to order those other parts today, the top secret project is not mine, I am just doing the leg work, but the spitfire and picaxe mods I am just doing so I can acuratly teach others to them, everyone got away from this when the onslaught of rapid fire controllers came into play for cod 4. but the spitfire seems to have endless posibilities.

oh yea, I ordered all the PSP stuff I need from coolmods.uk yesterday also. (complete clear case, razor board, new nub, etc.) my little brother in law's birthday is comming up soon, and his PSP is about done for, had it since it was released and plaid the crap out of it, so for his birthday i play to mod the heck out of it. I was thinking of painting his name in the clear case, well taping off his name and painting the inside of the back of the case black, then removing the tape to show his name in the clear case and back lighting it, the paint will only let light come out the letters in his name.

they will make the shipping up I promise!! at if you convert there euro price to usd that site is charging 0.53 per chip more. dont seem like much, but when the chip actually costs $1.18 from the manufacturer, it is 50% more per chip. LOL to each his own. I have allways had good luck from microchip, just got to order enough product to make it worth it.

you can also send the hex files to microchip and get them precoded

Yer i was looking on there, but you have to buy them in tubes of 60.. :/ Kind of a pain, but the site i said is quite good, you can get them for £0.77 or something like that, if you get 100+..
