may 24th:FINISHED!!
my modded xbox 360 in its current state 5/24/09  --Black Hawk--

may 12th:
extra fan installed, 12V mod finished, case back from blackburn, cold cathodes installed, dvd drive window installed and flashed as well as an rol swap
cutting window right now, adding a pot so I can manage the fan speeds, also adding some more leds later
pics for now:

the silver wire is for the cold cathodes...it leads into the inverter

sure,
there will be 2 cold cathodes going down the side(blue)
some blue 3mm leds or smd(3mm blue are hard to find around here for some reason) under the fan, as well as on the top and bottom,
I am adding a pot( for fan speed) either plugged into a usb jack(that I will add), serial jack, direct cable into the box and into a project box...or sitting on top(in front of HDD under the trim, because the only pot usable for this project that I could find at radioshack has this REALLY long shaft(which id rather not cut) and has a rather large base lol... what do you guys think? project box, or on top(there is enough space, I already checked with a dummy 360), then USB or serial?(either one does not matter)
I will update pics in a bit, I got the window in

Nice job. I'm doing almost the same thing, but I'm also putting in a switch for turning on/off the cold cathodes. I have no clue where to put it. Any ideas?

It would look better if the window had rounded corners.   :yess:
