ok i used the powerboard positive for the example but you can use the mobo or any other solder point and the negative is the bottom pin of the power switch all in Edhel's tut

How are the lights going into the triggers?  On my PSP phat's trigger's, they are fully covered on the bottom.  Do you have to drill trough them?

you just drill in about a mm or enough to fit the led in and not all the way through

You drill into them from the bottom using a 1/16  bit or 1/8 inch bit but not all the way through the trigger only enough to get the led and some hot glue to keep in place

OK Noob Question... I have everything i need to do an led mod,
along with case swap [copper face/clear back],
and new side frame that i plan to paint Matt black.
and a transparent 3d analog stick

I want to put led's in both d pad and buttons ,Triggers, complete rear illumination, and a best effort to get an individual illumination on the analog stick.

RED= analog stick
??????????????????    = Back case
??????????????????    = triggerrs
amber    = buttons/dpad

i ordered xbrite blue,amber,green,red bulbs 4x each so i have some colors to play with!!


but my problem lies in the structure of the circuits.
i want the buttons,d-pad, and analog stick[?hope?] ,to be constant
the triggers to be sound responsive,along with the back case.

within the sound response circuit i want to have the control to eliminate the back only, with trigger buttons on, or both off

           p1/off
           p2/led set 1[triggers]
           p3/led set 2[rear case]

Switch 1 will not be a problem i understand the sound response connection into speaker leads

           p1/off
           p2/on  [buttons/dpad/analog]
Here is where i have a lapse in knowledge or input. I see there are 100 tuts [same one diff sites and pics tho] If i use the power board connection will this create the steady power flow? And not the sound response? No tut is concise about the effect, or maybe i just didn't recognize the vocab used to confirm this. and is there a difference if i connect ground to the (-) speaker lead and (+) to the power board hole


questions::
     1.will power board provide constant on/off power flow to circuit 2, or will it be sound responsive
     2. does anyone have a suggestion to integrate my two switches into one. i couldn't think of a configuration that would work simply   
          because of the two different power feeds and their contrasting flows, but there ay be a switch that could accommodate the     desired effect. Or a schematic spec [with necessary supplies] to create the control i desire. [have read fader effect board mod but cloudy about where to get it, and install]

****i now see this hold method will give me the constant illu. that i desire but i dont understand the wiring. vid was nodescript...do u have a diagram of the schematic or pic set that will describe connections?  please..



finally...does anyone know of a fiber optic cord or anything comparable that could be powered by the battery. If so i want to look into routing the fibers to the buttons on the home strip [whatever] giving them some illumination.

Sure would be cool to get some yellow leds and put them in the triggers along with the reguler power led mod. they could be blue or something then turn orange when you put the psp on hold. fun to show off anyway, i never use hold...
