Gonna be modding a friends PSP... We cant decide what to do with it... He wants the mods to be simple so that he can watch and learn. Do plannin to do direct contact SR Triggers for a start.... Internal Photofast later on.... Cant decide on the case so needed suggestions....

Shhould we make it clear ? White ? Blue....

Make suggestions to make it one bad-ass lukin psp ;-)

ya i'll do that as soon as i can get a jewel. But basically right now we can't decide on the color scheme and where to place the leds... Need urgent help with that ! It needs to look awesome ...

Do it off of something like ghetto's phoenix psp.

Red trim, faceplate, red leds in the UMD door for the jewel, White backplate, UMD door, buttons, triggers, with white LEDs in the triggers.

i don't have means to paint the trim so will have to avoid it. How about something which looks rad both with and without the leds on.... Something in black/smoky/clear with blue/green/white leds and maybe a few strategically placed red ones...

i say clear case with green bottons. green trim and leds 1 in dpad and 1 in symbols (middle). the triggers and speaker holes (bottom) thats six leds and could do 3 to each speaker. that might be easy.

Ok , so i'm thinking of going in for a classic clear faceplate with black buttons and SR Lights between the buttons and in the triggers. also a few other lights on the sides (non SR) For the back , i'm thinking of having the UMD Door clear but the sides black. I'll drill holes through the Steel Ring and make a ring of light maybe using a fader chip to change colors, green led (Non SR for the centre clear area showing PSP) and SR leds in the four corners of the umd area...

if you're gonna use smoke black go with white leds..

someone told me they are selling laser white leds...

i think i'm gonna try that one...

btw the leds of the cellphone are pretty much the same with 603

but they are cheaper than 603...so i'll order a lot next week...

20's for blue, red, green, yellow, purple and white...

maybe 5 of laser white leds:tup:

Blue Case, or silver, Do a memorycard window using a clear battery cover, its something that has never been done before, and the cover fits the curved profile exactly, its less tacky than having a clear case.
For example just cut out 2 squares, fit it, glue it, and put some LED's in there and call it good

I say, Silver case, with green trim, and green sound reactive LEDS. Then make the background the bright green XMB WAVE, and you got one beautiful PSP. I personally hate clear cases, due to the messy look of the asymetrical components underneath, and then the LEDs just spread light all over. I would aim for a final model looking like:

Silver case
Green LED triggers
Green Trim
jewel with green backlighting
maybe even green leds coming through the speaker holes
green buttons if you want

don't do blue, its over used (unless you really like it). and try to stick to a 2 color max, it is easier to keep it aesthetic with just 2 colors (in the case silver green) you can swithc out the green for something else like red or purple, or maybe amber, lol.

i'm liking some of the suggestions and might do it to one of my own sometime later . But for now , we're going for the complete bling look and are planning to do extra speakers Anthonyta style...

clear shows all the good and bad, having a window is cooler, and the clear housing scratches easy, also the aftermarket cases are low end, i prefer to use the original sony cases, they are much more durable, or if you had good paint, you could buy clear case and paint most of it, and leave a few windows, but i preffer a clean look

we're going in for a clear black look ie black buttons and keeping the side panels on the back , black. Only the umd door will be clear...
