Hey new here
« on: August 07, 2009, 08:07:26 PM »
Hey I'm Jon new to Acidmods :) its a cool and great site and right now I'm looking very forward to getting into rapid fire and such. I have currently modded my controller with a chip but as of right now its limited just as many are in COD:WAW and I was gonna try to make my own but its a lot harder then I thought I read up and it seems I need to learn how to right hex code. I am familiar with Visual basic but people seem to say that I need to know C++ or assembly to wright on pic12f863? I just bought a USB PIC programmer (http://cgi.ebay.com/USB-PIC-programmer-for-Microchip-12F629-40pin-ZIF_W0QQitemZ120449015189QQcmdZViewItemQQptZLH_DefaultDomain_2?hash=item1c0b521d95&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14#ht_2257wt_1019) and I have the cracked VS of picbasic pro. So I was just wondering where to start! Thanks a bunch

-Jon

welcome to AM Jon. it doesnt matter what language you learn, writing code is only the frist step, once its compiled into a hew file the is not much f=difference in the language. there are online self help books all over the net start by searching.

with waw you need a pulse that is unconsistant, or a consistant pulse under 7 sps. read the opensource gamplay thread, all of it, read hazers coments he is the man.

good luck
