Some info:

* Approx. 128 x 16.5 x 69 mm (width x height x depth)
* CPU: 333MHz
* 64MB memory
* Weight: 5.6 ounces (including battery); 43 percent lighter than the first PSP Model
* 3.8-inch display (480 x 272 resolution)
* Analog video out
* 16GB of Flash storage
* Bluetooth 2.0+EDR; supports handset tethering and BT headsets
* 802.11b WiFi
* No UMD drive
* Memory Stick Micro slot
* New Gran Turismo, Little Big Planet and new Metal Gear Solid on the way
* Full PlayStation Network support (movie and TV rentals / purchases)
* Integration with PlayStation 3 (works the same as the PSP-3000 does)

There's also been talk of it possibly supporting PS3 Controllers. Can you say BIG SCREEN?

It's release date is scheduled for Oct 1st, with a price tag of 249$ USD.

Other than the bluetooth , i see no gains in this ... i would rather buy another slim... hmm actually i need to buy another slim !!!

I think ill ave and get this rather than fix my 2000 I love the look of the silver and white onethey showed in the videos.

I still say it's OK. I'd still get a 2000 (maybe 3000) over this. But the 3000 really isnt 100% "modable" more options with a 2000plus they are way cheaper to get used. I personally get more fun from modding then just playing with it.

Now what irritates me is Wireless B. Still.

Freakin Draft-N has been out for a while now. I don't see why they haven't integrated it by now.

Sheesh , does 16 gb memory cost so much ???? Why did they have to charge 250$ for the friekin thing ! Its got a smaller screen , no umd , integrated battery and everything else is just the same....... and a bluetooth module does NOT cost much to justify the cost....

I might be getting this but I will wait for someone else to open it to figure out if we have enough space to put a razorx inside. If we do I will bet $10 that we will have 2 nubs on that thing within a year.

also bluetooth and built-in memory does make a huge difference to me. I love being able to have 32gb on my psp for under $40 (16gb built-in + 16gb M2 card for 37ish dollars) and being able to listen to my music/audio wirelessly on a device that actually is not a shoddy piece of crap is really nice too. I wouldn't mind being able to use my ps3 controller too just for fun.

When It does come out I'll buy the white one to match my white macbook, wii, ps3 controller, and psp slim LMAO. *waits patiently for somebody to call me the one word that I always get called*

Why would sony only put an 802.11b wireless card in the unit? That is so thoughtless.. 802.11b has been dead for several years... I'd be surprised if it even supports WPA2
There are so many potentials a for high bandwidth wireless card especially for video...

I really liked the idea for a remote controlled car with a video camera that transmitted back to the PSP.. I can't remember where I saw it but the options are endless. Like say watching video stored on your PC/PS3 at a reasonable framerate or even some type of file manager to load/unload video and games to/from the PC.

you are right that it is an old standard but keep in mind that sony is probably using the same internal hardware as the current psp to cut costs. Of course they have cut out some parts.
No it does not support wpa2 ... However video streaming works reasonably well on the psp , and so does remote play....

Part of the 802.11N standard is to be able to work with legacy standards. Some Routers allow you to turn off access from 802.11A/B/G in order to increase the speed of the N band.

It wont work @ 5ghz you will need to turn it to or allow 2.4ghz. May have to take a hit on the security method unless you can allow certain mac addresses aceess.

I agree with you. In my opinion the majority of gadgets look nicer in white too. No fingerprints, looks futuristic yet modern, and easy to clean. Also I notice that white collects a lot less dust then black.

Why are there 2 slots?

the one on the side clearly says M2 on it, then there's another slot at the bottom for what looks like an SD card.

i'm not sure but i think the slot u are referring to is the new proprietary slot which is one slot for usb/charging/av-cable.....

The screen is actually smaller than the psp slim the psp slim has a 4.3 inch screen.

dude, I ONLY buy things in white, I have OCD, so I really have a hard time playing things glossy black. Like playing my bro's psp, sometimes I have to just set it down and go, because I get mad at all the fingerprints.

Love it great design but whats up with the UMD but whatever I will definitely buy this and the PlayStation store is very cheap anyways might as well just buy it there and finally i can use my blue tooth headsets once this comes out no more wires! My favorite thing about this psp is that its lightweight and it slides OMG OMG OMG! just like my phone.

I would like to be the first to fetch more memory onto the psp go 16gb internal hard drive. I think my method will work.

...I'll begin by cramming a microsd card through the psp go motherboard, thusly (and until obedient).

Hey, what if sony is just lying to everyone and the umd drive was like 70% more expensive to make then the internal hard drive and the new psp go design is cheaper to make then the models before it and sony may want to grab more money just by selling the psp gos and then in 2010 (or so) sony will never make the umds then, eventually complaints will pile up about the pspgo (like the 3000 screen issues) and sony will not answer because by that time sony's psp division would've disappeared off the face of the earth? Gasp!
