Dvi-d/Dvi-i WTF!?!?

whats the difference and how do i know what to get?

all i know is i have a dvi port on my graphix card and my new monitor.(NEVER BUY FROM DELL AGAIN FUCING SERVICE)

The only difference is that dvi-d can do 30" resolution.

Short awnser, yes.
Long awnser, it depends on if you have a 30" monitor to find out which you need. The Dvi-d can do both the dvi-i can only do up to 24" resolution
