dbl posting poll

should dbl posting be fully allowed in spam and chat or restricted llike in other areas of the forum

this poll is to gauge what you the user would like and the results of this poll will be taken into consideration but not guarenteed

I voted it should be allowed.

There are too many people who double post as it is, and there is absolutely no way to moderate it (well, there's SMF mods...).
I think it should be allowed because, as stated, so many people double post any way and it's also used as a way to bump a topic, or be used, per se, to add extra information or just make a post more tidy and split it into multiple posts.

There's good and bad reasons. Mainly I think it should be allowed because it's done anyway and it's not moderated.

I think it should be allowed within reason. Pretty much, no more than a double post. No triple, quad, etc.

i think it should be allowed in S&C like you said, but not in the normal posting topics.

Normal posting if bumping a topic is required, and Spam and Chat.

There's no real reason to take it away from S&C because it don't really matter.

well tbh the reason i asked is because yesterday i added a mod the automatically merges double posts.
the way i configured the mod and permisions currently is so that you cant make a double post within 5 days but after 5 days it will allow a double post. and now im just wondering if there should be certain areas of the forums that i turn it off in.

as for make posts tidy multi posts can tend to look cluttered if you are wanting to split a topic/post into multiple areas instead of doing it by double posts etc use a few [*HR] tags like
to put a split in the post.
as for the worklogs issue i think if a worklog is all in one post it makes it easyier if it gets popular to read and if needed it can be bumped every 5 days if no one else makes a post or it will be bumped by people asking you questions about it or answering any questions the poster of the worklog may of asked or they may make suggestions.
i will let this run a couple more days and will talk to some admins and get there views

That mod is exactly what i was thinking we shouldve implemented. 1 step ahead of me :P

i think it shouldnt because then people will bring up bs excuses for dbl posts in other areas
