halo 3 rpid fire help

I am using a CG controller and have soldered a 24 gage wire from d1 to my momentary push button. Had soldered another 24 gage to the other part of push button when  turn on it auto shoots me in  custom game and it looks like its all hooked up correct but auto fires and keeps shooting

you cannot dothis on a CG controller. if you hooked this up that way and it is auto firing, you have some other problems that need to be addressed, like bridging of the trigger pins, or solder splashes, or over heated board componets. please post pics

I think this is the 1,654,789th case of this that I've heard about :/
People don't research before doing things.
