So, I got my grades today, and guess what. My grade in Social Studies was 1 point away from changing a 3.6 GPA to a 3.8 GPA... That's SO annoying to me...

Wow..I don't even know my gpa
But, if it weren't for my teacher I would have failed Algebra II...Honors

I was having a crappy year and didn't even do my work.

The first nine weeks I had an F. The second nine weeks I finally brought my 36 up to a C (about 72%)
But she rose me up to a B so I would pass the whole semester

??? I was starting to get dissapointed in my grades but really?? Wowza... My school is pretty advanced, I guess... If you have less than a 3.0 people find you stupid...

Grade Point Average. Depending on the number of credits, each course contributes to a total GPA, 4.0 being the best (all A's) 0.0 being the worst (all F's).

i see, lowest grade we get here is a U (Standing for 'Unmarked'). At AS level if your mark is < 40% you fail and get a U. then its E, D, C, B, A appropriately, which are passes.

i just cleared senior secondary school which i guess is the same as high school for you guys. Got 92.8% scoring 464 marks out of 500 in my exams. Thats something like an A or A+ grade whatever you follow ....
Going to college in July for Computer Science Engineering

my parents say if i dont do well then it's my fault, and that taking things away from me wont change that. in fact if they took away my laptop it'd become even more difficult to do schoolwork. lol

I'm keeping a 84% average or so right now, without putting much effort in my work. Hopefully, when I start trying hard, I'll bump that up to a 90% atleast.

But really, is 0.2 GPA that big of a difference?

I dont understand the US grade system..

In the UK here, we just have A* - A - B - C - D - E - F - U

Im working on average at A* - A across all my subjects.. im in year 11, 16 in a week.

Me neither =\ Canada we go by A-D and then R for fail, but then once you hit high school, we just go by percentages.

Dude, I'm trying for the U.S. Naval Academy, 90% of the students have above a 3.8. I had a 3.8 last semester, so with this GPA, now I have a 3.7 average... Oh well, I have 3 more years anyway

I had a 3.85 when i graduated college with my bachelor degree. was numero uno for a class of 14 with the same degree. I dont think I was the smartest per say, but I had the system down for getting A's
