lm386 gives u more sound reactive leds if u understand what i mean....
Ya got that mixed up there Dhurv. I'll explain: Direct contact stand for just that. You directly connect the LEDs to the speaker connections. The LM386 method uses a sound amp (an LM386) and a couple resistors. Each have their trade-offs: Direct contact are easier to do for a first mod, and they are much, much more reactive than the LM386 one. The downfall is that you need an additional switch to be able to turn it off. The sound amp method is much brighter, and you don't need an additional switch. The downfall here is the LEDs aren't very reactive.
