Dual Analog on Slim Help

Well this is my first time messing with a dual analog on a slim. I found folklords tutorial. But is it really necessary to disassemble and throw away the whole Power Board PCB?

Hmm I wonder why you just cant solder onto the ZIF without murdering the Pobo...

Wait wut? you mean the actual pobo, or the pcb of the analog? I'm confused.. you must remove the pcb of the analog, but not the actual pobo if you're good with the space.

This was a picture from Folklords Slim dual analog tutorial,

I thought you had to take off the Pobo PCB, I have no problem disassembling a analog.

Lol I max out space, I'm good with that sort of thing, you should see my room XD.

Well I know modders have been able to do it without removing the pobo, or even the charge plug. So if you're good, then you can leave it.

yea, look at the sticked link on this board "Installing DualNub™ Lite'n Easy + Demo". He does it without removale, by removing it you loose power and charge leds.

Which is exactly why I dont want to do it that way.

it is difficult to do without moving anything.

i tried all ways to try get it to fit in a slim with a standard cover without moving anything. and the best i could get was a 2mm gap where the case wouldnt close.

i did however manage to fit it in with room to spare by moving the power skt and lowering the power board.

lookin good man, I tried to not move anything also, but I had the same outcome. 123sample some how got it to work, but I ended up doing the same thing you are (moving the DC plug to the other side)

hi

i did try every which way to get it to fit withoiut moving anything.

sanded the razor to make thinner,
lowered and shaved the power socket both sides.

and came to the conclusion it cannot be done without having a  gap in the covers

finished instalation with power socket relocated.


So in answer to the first post....

NO but you need loads of patience and a very steady hand for the soldering.
