I know you have to use a serial ATA laptop hard drive and you 5400rpm works best (with 7200rpm you gotta get something to make it work better from what I've heard)

The second one won't work because it's a 3.5 inch one instead of a 2.5 inch one. The ps3 takes laptop hard drives not desktop hard drives. There's a way to fit it though but you need a adapter. Xecuter PS3 HDXT is the one you can use to hook the second one up but you need your own power source. There may be another adapter too but I forgot the name.
