Completed Generic PSP
« on: June 21, 2009, 11:48:39 PM »
Finally completed my PSP.

It is a very simple one, but it's my first complete mod with the PSP. It features sound reactive LED's. Only working through headphones, however, as I rarely use my speakers.

Features 2 LED's in each trigger.
1 LED in each speaker hole.
4 LED's in the back ring.
Added speaker in the back.

Only thing that sucks is that I had to remove the UMD drive completely. For some reason the UMD gate, (the thing that holds the UMD in), would not shut completely because of the ROL LED's. They were an obstruction and kept the cage from closing completely. I am wondering how others got around this.

In any case, here it is.

Finished PSP Mod

Heh, no, it is the song "Omega" by Stone Sour. It's actually just a poetry reading. :)

And no, the screen's perfectly functional. My camera just doesn't pick things like that up too well.

And yeah, I soldered the amplifier to the headphone jack. You need to have an LM386 to go through headphones, however.

I really want a clear case, but I can't afford it. xD
