I am making a video on how to jailbreak/unlock the iphone 3g(its the same for the ipod, just dont use the cydia part...lol)and I will post it on am, but first my goddamn IPSW download needs to hurry up and  finish!

He's gonna use Icy instead.

It depends on which tool you use for which OS you're on. Pwnage tool(Mac) will install Icy and redsn0w(Windows) will install Cydia.

i jailbroke, but then brought it back to official. 3.0 JB has been VERY UNSTABLE for me. this afternoon after respringing none of my non-built-in apps would boot. they started, died instantly. uninstalled plugins and programs one-by-one. nothing. rebooted loads. nothing. rejailbroke. nothing. restored (TAKES A LONG TIME). nothing.

so i gave up :D

Mine works 100%. You have to remember that a lot of Cydia/Icy apps aren't patched/ported to work with 3.0 completely yet.

Pretty much all of my apps work. I don't think there's a single one that doesn't.

You don't need a tutorial...plug in your iTouch/iPhone, run the program, and it TELLS you what to do. It's impossible to screw up.

yeah im not stupid enough to do it wrong, i just think i had installed something that messed it up bigstyle. im not all that bothered. and yeah, a baby could jailbreak an iPhone, only thing you need to do is put it in DFU mode.
