Question About Usb Charger

Im working on modding my psp for the razor X nub and wanted to know alittle more about the chargers. I seen the tutorials but is it necessary to do the hardmod for the usb charger to work? Like can i just do this tutorial https://www.acidmods.com/forum/index.php?topic=13418.0 and be done with it? Or is it required to do this one? https://www.acidmods.com/forum/index.php?topic=13468.0

Yes if you do both of those one for cable part taking charger and converting to USB and then hard wire your usb port on the psp.

the first link is what you would use after the second link is done.
so you can use the wall charger to usb charge.
if you do the second one then use the usb from a PC it will charge fine.

Umm...call me slow but I didn't understand what either one of your said. I do understand that their A and B type tutorials... but does this tutorial have to be done https://www.acidmods.com/forum/index.php?topic=13468.0?

Basically if I dont have too, I dont want to hard mod the mobo. But If so then do I need to remove the wall charger port after the hardmod is done or can I wait to move it? I waiting on my wires to come in the mail to finish the joystick. But I have everything to do the the first tutorial now.

The first link you have on your first post you can not do that unless you hard wire your USB on your mobo thats the only way u can do that. What ingungelist was referring about charging from your PC is you can AFTER you hard wire you USB on your mobo you can also hook a USB cable from you PC to the PSP instead of doing take your charger and converting it to USB. No after the USB is done you do not need to remove the charger port on your psp.

30 gauge kynar wire.

Ok, I have a problem now. I did the mod to the mobo and it worked. Then i tired the second tutorial...my usb wires were different colors so I wasn't sure which was which. Sooo...to find out I tested each two at a time. The colors were Red, Black, White and Green. The Red and Black wires are what i needed...however after finding out which one was which I accidentally dropped the psp case with the mobo still in side. Now every time I put a usb cord in it doesn't charge and if i put in the cord and wait for it to make the connection to my pc the screen goes off but the psp is still on. I  tired taking the wire off and putting it back on incase it came apart during the fall but still nothing.

Anyone have any suggestions or know what I need to do to correct the problem?  I can provide images as well if needed.


Edit: OK it charges now, but it doesn't read for the data transfer
