Modding steps, 1st PSP Slim with BUILT IN BATTERY,

TO CHANGE THE SUBJECT, WOULD THIS WORK, OR HAS IT BEEN TRIED, ADDING AN ADDITIONAL JACK
,

THE BOX WITH 3 WIRES IS A TRANSISTOR, I THINK THE JACK MAY ALSO NEED A RESISTOR

I will be updating pictures, as soon as I progress on this build

I have always wanted to do a psp with a camera and sd reader, but didn't want to sacrifice the UMD drive,
I am going to attempt to build the battery into the psp, behind the memory card reader, so I have room for the camera, and dip switches in the battery compartment, and might attemt a single SD card Reader.

Mods:
Wite Case
Pandora battery switch
Built in mic
8 or more sound reactive LED's
Built in Camera
single sd card slot

Played around with it and got the battery to fit, just had to cut through the wall, and take some off the umd door, but it will play the umd fine, only loss in this build will be the mem stick door wont slide  out( any ideas on a alternative besides just gluing in place, I want mem stick reader to still be functional, cell phone hinge could work but may be too big)

June 24- collecting parts, waiting on go cam, will do 6pin or 8 pin dip, may do dual num, going to add 3 more speakers

Interesting idea. To be fair, you could of got the camera and the sd slot in where your placing that internal battery, but i really like the idea. Looking forward to an update on this. Hope it goes well!

but i need at least a 4 pin dip switch for the lights, battery on/off, pandora mode, and camera,
but will probably put in a 8 pin so i can put the mic on it,
the battery compartment also comes up a lot higher than under the mem card, so wasnt sure that the camera would fit

To simplify some things, you can just buy a regular/pandora battery from dx
http://www.dealextreme.com/details.dx/sku.15153

There are a couple more of those on the site as well
Yes I am aware of that, but that battery doesn't last half as long as a original, and if its going to be built it it has to last a long time

You could try modifying and using a cell phone battery...
Dunno, just throwin' out ideas.

Like the idea, can't wait til your done with this.

Good luck! :D
Interesting idea, but too expensive, not looking to spend much on this build, and a doubt the new owner will care what battery is in there, and if it is any longer than the original battery than I couldn't do it

Use the battery holder for his switches/camera for easy access.
