zif soldering

how do you guys soder on zif?

what's the best way to solder in tiny pitch points like that...

Ima try using enamel coated magnetic wire

i just use a magnifying glass and make sure i tin the wire really good.

tinned the wire first then dip to flux then solder?

Thats what i use works well. But dont move it around to much or it will snap.
i'm thinking of using magnetic wire too...so how do you prep it?

TO prepare you must dip in the flux first make sure you go enough on there then take a blob of solder on you iron and place the wire in the middle of blob of solder and wait will you see black liquid substance fill your solder. Then you pull the wire out it may have some enamel residue on it so whip your blob of solder on the sponge light to get off the black stuff then place the wire in the blob again and should tin it.

so how do you guys manage to solder lot if wires to zif without

shorting them?i'm practicing at my broken umd cable end...

I also use hairlike wires from headphones, just use Soldering Paste for clean and easy soldering. Dip your wire to soldering paste, and dip also your soldering iron to clean the tip, apply small amount of soldering lead to your soldering iron, and solder the wire to zif. Kabayan.

have you tried soldering on zifs?

what soldering tip do you use?

i bought some tip used for cp but they are no good coz my leads just

drop..my other tip don't but their tip is not small enough for the zif

soldering..

Yea it depends on what soldering iron you get and you can various sizes of tips for it.

Yes I did just ordinary tip. If you apply soldering paste it will work clean.

Here is my old soldering iron. Still using it for my projects.
