help!!! using LM386 to install LEDS

i have a psp 1001 and trying to install LEDS on triggers and UMD drive, can somone help me on which items to gather, heard about LM386 making sound amp and led flickering and also need some info on how to assemble the LEDS together with resistors and wires? ty in advance whomever u are :tup:

ty very very much i have a better understanding now from this diagram, i got another question for you, would you prefer using LM386 or some other stuff because i just found out they overheat and their light isnt that bright? trying to get red leds or blue for black psp 1001

your welcome! i would not use the lm386 at all because its very bright but not very sound reactive. i would either direct connect which is the easy way or use the npn transistor method.

lol ok. well that method is very similar to the direct connect method the Npn makes the leds brighter and still sound reactive just like the direct connect method but its not like the lm386 where the leds are constantly bright even when the sound is down, its controlled by the volume just like the direct connect method. so over all i would say the npn method is the best way.
