Ya but you would need it there to have the Memory LEd still work.

Well it depends. As long as the wire is soldered to the 5v point it will work. As for the memory led, you can always bridge (solder over) the resistor to get it working, but it will be very bright.

Guys I know it's a really small point but it's the only one that you'll find to be the easiest to solder. Other points are on the Zif connectors and are an absolute pain to solder too if your not confident doing so. I'd also recommend using flux when soldering to that 5v point. It will make the job alot easier for you.

Hey I think you can solder right to where the battery connects to the mother board.  If you are looking at the battery terminal it has three connections on the top and on the bottom and im pretty sure the one on the top all the way to the right is 5v.

ok.. so let my think... now my rezistor from the +5v is removed... so if i put solder over the 2 contact the led will be ok.. but mutch brighter(the memory).. and if i solder the wire to the point where i soldered the +5v will my mod work ? is there any chance that the mod will not work ?

sorry for my bad english! :|

As long as you have soldered over where the resistor was then it will work, both the memory led and your mod.

Just some advice, After you have soldered the power wire to the 5v point, use some glue or tape to secure the wire to the mobo. This will stop it moving and possibly breaking off when rebuilding the psp.
