Author Topic: End of Summer Break Mod-Off 2009! (Read 8897 times)

Welcome to the summer mod-off. You have a month to mod whatever console you want to, and the best one wins the prizes. So warm up your irons, break out the solder, and most of all, have fun! Sign up bellow and tell us your thoughts.

The prizes are:

- A working second hand PSP Slim.
- One item from the acidmods merchandise shop (LINK)
- $25 ThinkGeek.com Gift certificate
- 3 PSP sound reactive LED mod Boards

Here is the set of rules

1. Console most be stock. All previous mods (if any) Most be removed prior to the mod off. a picture with the date of your first entry post in it of the un-modded console must be posted.

2. Mod off starts on Saturday 15th August and ends on the 14th of september. All modded consoles must be finished by the 14th or they will NOT be counted unless there is a reasonable excuse for lateness.

3. All consoles will be reviewed by a panel of three unbiased judges.

4. Mods that you have developed yourself can be marked with *NEW MOD*. New mods will score more points.

5. Functionality mods will score more than aesthetic mods. Don't just leave the aesthetic mods though, these do still earn points.

6. A weekly Video and/or picture Log of how you are coming along is required. Unless you have a reason for not having one, your entry may be considered for disqualifaction if you do not include a log of your work.

7. Each persons entry must be posted in there own topic titled:

[console][forum name] Title of mod
e.g. [360][Chives] Codename Skylight

I'm afraid You will need to remove what you have already done to it for it to be a legit entry.

no timezone specificaly as it is just a date now a time it is the date in whatever timezone you are

Im starting a 360, project, its just got a little pen on the actual 360 case, can i still enter? (I cant really remove them)

If I wanted to enter my xbox 360 desktop. Could I disasemble the little progress I have made and start again for the mod off?

We should have everyone use twitter to post their daily/weekly logs so it can be easier. then we can just post a link on our thread to our twitter profiles. if enough people do that every message would use some sort of hash tag like #AcidmodsModOff

Can I enter an Xbox 360 that I just finished a week ago? I have a couple pictures of the modding process and can record a final video of the product. Also, I have a PSP Slim that all I have done is swap the LEDs and placed LEDs in the trigger can I enter this too?
