Umm PS3 firmware 3.0 has recently been announced but it has NOTHING to do with home, Sony is selling premium avatars in 3.0 so I dont think they will allow you to use your own images (aside from other reasons) also here is your man eric lempel showing off 3.00 Viddler.com -

Update: According to the post in the topic where these details were leaked, there is a good chance that this is a faker goes. Volledige uitsluitsel is er niet, maar met geruchten heb je, zoals gewoonlijk, altijd de kans dat sommige dingen niet waar zijn. Full confirmation is not, but rumors have you, as usual, always the chance that some things are not true.

I really think thats fake mainly because thats the same site that said we were getting all that in firmware 2.70 -.-
