analog and dpad acting up

i have a drifting analog...then i tried fixing the problem and it always coming back...

maybe i need to replace my analog..what i want to know is why is it that my dpad is

also acting up when my analog is messed up...i

s the analog and the dpad in some way related?

make sure it is screwed to the face plate as secureley as possible, check the dpad connector and clean the analog rubber pad, if it still doesnt work post back.

you can try direct soldering the analog to the contact pads with some 30 awg kynar wire but leave lots of extra wire as you would then have to be able to remove the face plate and be able to screw/unscrew it.

Yeah the nub is not making full contact with the pads, I soldered mine because I had the faceplate on and off so much. As for the d-pad make sure the connection is nice and tight and the clip is down.
