need assistance [FIXED]

I was disassembling my psp 1000 for the usb charge mod when the power connector came loose, my question is the part on the back a weld or a ground or both?

its grounding, nothing fancy, you dont really need it.

I would say it's a good idea to put it back since you do have a floating input the circuit has no idea what it is. Just dab a little bit of solder on there.
