I want to use 2 joysticks:
1 to replace the arrow keys and the other to replace the x,[],O,^.

Also i would like to make them detachable via usb( like the 1 that is on top of psp).

I would help you if I knew how. I hate it when people don't bother to even read my thread when I ask a tough question.

Well there was that one psp 1000 mod with the USB analog stick from a ps2...
Maybe you could get a razor x, install that, solder usb connectors onto the razor x, and solder the usb connectors onto the part of the motherboard that senses the analof stick.
I mean it should be pretty similar to the usual dual analog stick conversion right?
Hope that helps. :)

Then solder it to the psp

i understand that i have to mod the potentiometer for it to work.
and i know how to do it on the phat but i would like to know if it could be done on the slim (2000).
Also if the xbox joysticks are compatible or will i need to use ps2 or ps1 joysticks??

Im pretty sure a xbox analog will work, ill take apart mine and check it out.

But it could be done on the slim. Instead of soldering onto the powerboard like the phat does you solder the wires onto the point where the connector goes.

Look at the pic and the colored points are where you would solder the wires to.
