What kind of paint/how many layers of each?

I want to paint a controller after I do some major body modding(it involves using fiberglass) and I want to know what kind of paint should I use and how many layers. I want to do a multi-colored patern.

I always use krylon Fusion, and 1 or 2 layers

krylon fusion 2 layers minimum, depends how you want it to look for thicker color. then add at LEAST 3 clear coats to prevent scratching/chipping

I use auto paint and bake at low temp so you dont shrink the shell.
