that was before it was finished.... it was the only pic i had of it... when it was finished i had leds lighting up the jewel... and the hanging usb turned back to a controller port.... i only used that for the mod install

But still with 6 posts, your first one ever being a MFH post, and not even introducing yourself I wouldnt expect to see much work. Especially with having only done 2 mods and have 1 "old" pic of 1 of them and bombarding everyones posts saying that youll do the work for "X" price. This forum doesnt work like that, neither does real life youve got to be trusted first and be kind to the public around you.

Yea cuz i would join the modder for hire but i see no point cuz theres to many of them. But i have had ppl come up to me ask me to mod there stuff from seeing what i have done and posted on this site and youtube. The more work you have the show the more ppl youll draw. Plus references is another its hard to have someone trust to mode there stuff cuz we do get thieves here and there. So thats another thing.

well ya i see what ur sayin but still ill get know fast... im just waiting now for the parts to come in i ordered a psp on ebay for 70$ usd a clear case 22.50$ usd and 10 leds for 1.25$ usd for all 10 not ea.... (i only need 10 cause i have like 10 here) and ima do the sound reactive+L/R buttons+case and install a web cam i have that is extra just laying around using custom firmmware to recognize it and maybe two new speakers with a mini amp i have.... cam is going in the hallowed out umd drive which i wont need anymore along with the amp

1) You can't use a webcam on the psp, not even with CFW installed.
2) Damn, you're a bit ambitious aren't you? If you're trying for all of these mods for the first time, you're going to break the psp for sure.

Like I said. You're a bit ambitious. You won't get known around here, either. There's hundreds of psp modders who do 10x more than what you claim you're going to do. If you want to be noticed, develop your own mod. Have fun with the mods, but don't expect anything to come of it. You're not going to become a modder for hire with how you're going about this.

except for the fact that your just a kid like most people here.... you not going anywhere with this, as the webcams are NOT going to work with a PSP

the PSP usb port does not supply the 5v needed to run a webcam. The PSP battery only has 3v, therefore the webcam will not operate. You would also need some type of drivers or a USB host for the PSP to recognize the webcam.

i have said this in another post.... u need cfw to download the needed DRIVER and a cfw that will recognize the driver... and as for the power suply dont worry about tht i will get tht to work just fine

you can actually get 5v from the psp but not the usb which is standard and like most usb ports supplys 3.3v as that is the standard.

theres only 1 firmware on the PSP, you cant download a custom firmware, then switch this and that with this and sign a driver attach it to another and blah blah. keep talkin kid your going nowhere

he also fails to realise that nothing is instantaneous, the wright brothers did not develop a bowing 747 for example or an airbus which in contrast is what he is trying to do, jump in at the end of the deveolpment time line and skip the larning and improving process out.

demonboy, The problem you don't seem to understand is that what you're trying to do is impossible. You can NOT connect ANY TYPE OF WEBCAM TO THE PSP, EVEN WITH CUSTOM "DRIVERS" (Something the PSP doesn't even HAVE).

The PSP is a USB-Slave. A webcam is a USB-Slave.
You can't connect a slave device to another slave device.

Go plug a hard drive from a computer into another hard drive. Will it do anything? No.
You're essentially trying to do the same thing.

You need to connect a slave device to a USB-Master device, something that the PSP is NOT and can NEVER BE. It has nothing to do with software or custom firmware.
Give up.

the problem is the fact that hardware wise and software wise this is impossible. yeah you can solder the webcam to it, but the PSP will have NO idea what it is

ok what i plan to do is basically flash the camera to think its a gocam! and write it or download the driver required i think writing will be more efficient but downloading the cams driver would be easier so ill prolly do tht for it to work but then write it a driver for extended use... do u think this can work... if i can get enough power to the cam?

wtf for one you cant use any current driver, the psp will NOT understand a windows driver you would have to write a PSP driver a PRX in C/C++ whihc i don't think you know and then you would need to find out all of the hex addresses that the camera uses to manipulate its functions, even if you get power to it and write the driver it would have to be implemented as an add on to the current cam driver or a replacement unless you decrypt the current cam driver and include it in one overall driver.

basically your not clever enough just like most other people you may ask to help you do this as it would also only support the camera you use and not be generic.
