Modded controller and now it doesn't work!
« on: October 31, 2009, 08:54:54 PM »
So after hours of soldering and modding, I got my central LED working. Now what happens is that the controller doesn't work. If it is unplugged and off, I press the PS button, nothing happens, doesn't turn on. If it is plugged in the LEDs and such turn on, but still non of the buttons do anything.

make sure one of your wires isnt pressing down the reset button on the back of the controller, that will cause it to do absolutely nothing

its a little tact switch on the motherboard (upper right corner). theres a very small hole on the back of the controller, and it resets the controller when that button is pressed

Nothing is near the upper right. :/

Any other suggestions? Could it be the touch pad?

Thanks a lot. Figured out my error though... When cutting the rubber piece so the LED shines through, I cut it to big, so now I have to press WAAAAAAY down so the PS button responds.

And idea where I can get a replacement?
