should blue led burn out if tested by a 6.3v pandora battery?

a led uses like 1.5 volts, so yes its normal that it burned out

I tried 9v through a LED when I first started modding and the LED started smoking.  :laughing:
I run 4v through my blue power LED and it works great.

blue leds can take up to 5.6 volts.

other leds cant, its because of the colour

6.3 Volts would blast the LED into oblivion. You know, the cool thing about LED's is that the color is not because of the lens, but because of the substance in the LED. Blue LED's have either Zinc selenide,
Indium gallium nitride, or Silicon carbide inside them. You bought the 0805's, right?

i bought the 0805 but i managed to solder the 0603 :) also it was a 3.6v battery not 6.3v
