Best shooter game for PS3?

What do you think the best War game on the ps3 is?
Because im going from casual gaming to hardcore gaming over the summer. :P So give like the ranking for COD 4 COD 5 Killzone 2 and any others i missed. thx

Well theres nothing called COD4:2 theyr dropping the COD name from it.
Just gonna be Modern Warfare 2.

Same everytime i say Modern Warfare 2 I put COD before it 9 times out of 10

modernwarfare2 is going to be great.
COD 4 & 5  sorry to say were both better on the xbox (no offence intended, they were)

socom confrontation is a great game. very tactical shooter.

operation flashpoint is due this summer, but IDK if its coming to the playstation or not. if so it will be a definate on to get

I have just finished Killzone 2 and i must say it is the most amazing game ever. It doesn't feel incredibly long, but each mission is quite detailed, took a total of 7 hours for me. I've played Halo for a bit before and I think it is nothing like it, it's just got a really good mix of everything.

Dont want to start a war here but how were Cod 4+5 better on the xbox, I would have thought they were the same as its the same game. ??

And get COD4, not 5. Thats what I preferred.

I got SOCOM and it really sharpened my skills for Call of Duty! It taught me to aim better and to see people better, also you don't respawn in the ranked gameplay so which is fairly helpful. I'd definitely get SOCOM, if you wanted to improve your skills.
