noob project

just started learning to solder. whats a good first project?

when i just started i added a fan to a 360,
and just soldered wire onto random bits of circuit board

eh, i could just buy a better fan. or connect one to take power from the dvd drive(yes i know thats not good)
but as of right now i am just soldering on a circuit board. lol

i just added an extra fan, not replaceing the 2 already in there,
under the power jack is the best 12v source

Try Soldering some heavy gauge wire together, thats how i learned to solder.

Another idea would be to take apart something old to De solder the stuff out to find how long it takes for to heat up a wire.

Mistakes will always be part of learning so don't get frustrated.

Just remember to not leave the soldering iron on electronic components too long else they may burn out. (It happened to me before)

try putting some 3mm or 5mm leds in something, dont forget to put some resistors on them

I've been soldering for a long time there is no such thing as too much practice im telling you straight up from experience.
