Question..(Preventing of burning the mobo)

can someone give me preventive tips on doing a SRL using the lm386.. how can i test everything if it have shorts or something?.. can i add a fuse or something so that i can be more safer?.. ive done direct contact leds perfectly but i always ends up with a short in closing it and im trying to prevent it when im going to use the lm386.. any tips?..

You can use electrical tape or heat shrink wrap. I blew my sound fuse trying to do an led swap once and my speakers stopped working. I had to bridge the fuse and now it's fine.

its just ok to burn the sound fuse because you will just bridge it with a solder but what i need is to test all the things to install and check whether there are shorts or not so that i can prevent my mobo from burning using an lm386 amp.

by the way.. your using direct contacts leds in your picture?..

Yes, they are direct contact.You could use electrical tape to prevent shorts and prevent the mobo from frying. Sometimes, the LED's would short out on the LCD cage, until i put tape on the spot where it would short out onto. The best thing you could do to test a short is to turn it on and see how it works. a PSP doesn't have to be fully assembled to turn on. It can turn on without the screen attached.
