Wired controller to USB (dont have the official adapter)

i have a xbox 360 wired controller, minus the adapter to the xbox itself. Cani make one myself by just taking off the circular connector and soldering it to a male usb? which wires would i solder together? seems pretty easy, i just dont know which wires should go to which

uh, I will have to check when I get home, but I didnt think they came apart like the origional xbox did, IDK I only have one and never used it.

if so, a simple continuity test through the adapter would tell this, and there is only 4 wires in the use plug, power,ground, data+and data-

yah you sould be fine as long as your connections are correct as all it is is wire.

right, but i dont have the adaptor, so i dont know which wire goes to which pin on the xbox's female usb. so thats why i need someone to check theirs out or pull a pinout up. thanks

ok I only have one wired controller and its the wife's, she swares they are more sinsitive then the wireless ones...women..lol anyway, she wont let me cut it open to get the color code. but I did an external pin test for you and have drawn a diagram

The attachment is fine.

Also, that "IDK" part is a choke. It reduces Electromagnetic and Radio Frequency Interferences (EMI and RFI respectively)
