Buy psp go for $170?

Do you guys think that buying a psp go off of criagslist is a good idea? They say its new in box sealed, but how can it be so low?? Is it because sony just had to be a jerk and make the first price so high?

You should ask them why it's so low, maybe they got accidentally got two as a gift or something. If it's sealed then take it, but if it's not sealed, have them test it in front of you so you can make sure nothing is wrong.

my grandparents bought a blu-ray player for $100, turned out it was stolen, and they got it taken away. It does happen.

Oooh shoot. Never mind don't do it. Just save your money and get one you know isn't stolen (bought at the store).

Even tho everyone I know has bought something stolen including myself and I have never heard of the police actually taking their things away...?

Well, if the police know you have something stolen, they'll confiscate it.
If the police catch someone who stole something and sold it, then they'll track down the person(s) it was sold to and confiscate it.

That is, unless you live in an area where the cops really don't care. XD

I can assure you the cops where I live don't care lol. This is coming from first hand experience. If they had to go look for a PSP Go they would laugh. My neighbors Navigator and TV's where robbed and they had a hard time getting the cops to believe them and even want to look for it. "well...really doubt we'll find the thief" fat cop.

Ya moral of the story is if you know your cops/neighborhood and can get away with it go for it, otherwise wait.  :tup:

Thanks for the tip I am going to be getting my Go off of craigslist.
