PSP 2000 Backlight Problem

Sometimes my PSP's backlight just turns off. I could be playing a game and the backlight will turn off as I am playing, or it turns off when I go to a different menu. I also can't control the screen brightness when the backlight is on. What could be the cause of this? I think this began happening after I dropped the PSP.

Wow I fixed it myself with some tape. It was a short.  :eyebrow: Thanks a lot for your help everybody :eyebrow:
