cell phone

I am going to upgrade my cell phone. I dont know what to pick it either a blackberry bold or a G1. which one is better the bold or the g1?

umm... neither of those are cell phones >.>

but anyway i have heard good things about the g1 (even used one for a week) and I like it, but havent heard much about the bold personally.

G1, because it has android, great touchscreen, great keyboard.

the only thing is that it doesnt have a 3.5mm headphonr jck. but you can buy an extender for like 3 dollar from ebay.

i've used the g1 for like 6 weeks and its a good phone.

Uhm. Yes they are. They're just subclassified as smartphones.

Have SMS/MMS?
Contacts book?

from these two definitely the g1 but i would recommend that you go for the droid instead as the g1 is pretty old now...

must have misread that online article that i thought stated that only old (1g) phones used cellular technology. I wasnt basing it on the fact that they are "smart phones" but that all phones today were called "mobile devices" or "mobile phones", my mistake.

They're all cell phones. Every single mobile phone in existence uses cellular technology.
That's how they work.

1G,2G,3G,4G is all just different cellular transmission types and speeds IIRC. Not sure on that one, but every phone uses cellular technology.

You know CDMA/GSM? Yeah. Those are "Cellular bands". Cellular. Every phone is either CDMA (Verizon, Sprint, etc) or GSM (AT&T, T-Mo, etc).

New g1? There's only 1 G1 (and the Dev version) and afaik you can root all of them...

My uncle had a G1 and I thought it was a really good phone. It was nice and easy to use and looks amazing!
