psp not recognising battery

my psp and 3rd party dont seem to recognise the battery that came with my psp 2000
but when we opened it there is power in the battery itself but it is being blocked by something and we dont know what do you guys have any idea what it could be or where the fuse is
(ive tried a psp1000 battery in psp and works fines chanrges and all and same in 3rd party charger)
oh and the battery is from a ta85 i think 2003 model psp that ive softmodded as pandora months ago

are you sure there is power coming from the battery terminals (not inside the battery) where the psp contacts to get power ive had this happen before with mine. and i checked and had to re-connect it but it worked great after that.
