Cold Cathode Mod Question
« on: January 03, 2010, 05:57:58 PM »
I have a quick question about the cold cathode mod for the xbox 360 console.  Can you wire 2 inverters to the 12v input by the power plug or is there a different spot to solder the second one to.  Thanks

It seems as though you can wire the inverter to the power plug area.  Why would you need two though?

I'd recomend pulling from 2 spots, one from near the power plug, and another from the spot under the DVD drive, behind the memory card slots.

I would personaly say pull both from the power supply, since the other points ultimately all feed from the there, yet it is more dangerous to be pulling current away from little circuits throughout the xbox, than just feeding off the entire power supply.

Oh, I didn't quite understand what you were asking.  Yes, I would agree with Ghost, if you wire it well, use well insulated wire, it would be wise to take them both from the PSU connection.  It really doesn't matter too much, but it is safer to take a more direct route.
EDIT: @SN!PER, can't you get banned from taking power from the dvd drive unit?
