Can u track a NAS?

Someone broke into my friends car and stole is Buffalo LS-Mini Network 1tb HDD. IDk what it was doing in his car, but im wondering, is there a way to track it?

i meant as in, if someone hooks it up and installs it with the software and everything, is there a way for me to track or is he out of lock?

Its Network Attached Storage in the sense that its connected to a local network... The NAS was never designed to be able to perform what you want it to do...

i doubt that any NAS comes with lojack, they put lojack on popular things that get stolen. Not a NAS lol

Damn that sucks...NAS's are expensive.
Have him hook it up to a GPS transmitter next time... haha

yeah especially this one. This one goes for 290 on newegg. I guess theres no possible way for it to be tracked.

I doubt it as well, but you never know. Usually you know if it's on there too, as it's a feature that is advertised to you before purchasing the product.
