HELP!!!!

my psp when i turn on the switch the light only half lights up then flashes, then just theres no light... the screen doesnt turn off and it looks like it is turned of. if you hold she switch the light sometimes continues to flash. when you let go of the switch the light flashes again. can some one help me and tell me wat the problem is and how i might be able to fix it...
