Win 7? [mods dont move]

Ok yeah this should be in PC section but theres almost no activity down there.

But to the main point.
Ok my comp is still on the win 7 RC, The RC is Ultimate but i was gonna buy standard, if i buy the standard upgrade pack and dl the full install off the web would my product key for the upgrade work with the full install?

Either it works or im gonna have to dl and install win vista off somewhere just to upgrade to win 7. I dont have alot of money right now so im trying to go the cheapest legitimate route possible.

or does anyone have any better ideas?

no it will not work. the keys are to the specific version. trust me ive tried

your comp came with vista right? do a clean vista install, using the key stamped to the bottom of your pc and then upgrade to win 7. I am in the process of this now.

Just compiled this as I've used such a thing as an "activator", and that it is possible.
